I stayed at this great hotel about a year ago. It also claims to be a spa hotel, although we didnt tryany of the treatments available. So unfortunately I cant comment on the 'spa' part!
Overview ------------- This beautiful hotel is in Soller. It is housed within a beautiful old building, which according to the owners has been a house and another, run down, hotel before that.
Location ----------- The hotel is near to the main square in Soller, which is about half an hour from Palma, up in the hills away from all th etacky tourist resorts. Its set back from a quiet(ish) street, but is close enough to the main restaurants etc in the town
Room --------- There are about 35 rooms in total. Our room was great, although a tad small. It was very modern, with crisp white sheets and great smart, neutral decor. We had a lovely view onto the gardens and the bathroom was ultra clean and modern. There was only a shower, but it was very powerful and the shower cubicle was great so I cant complain there. I think there are larger rooms, which of course come at an extra premium! Our rooms were cleaned every day.
Facilities ------------
Indoor pool - in the basement there is a great little heated pool. It was empty when we were there, but may have felt a bit small if there were others present. Certainly longenough to do a little work-out though. It had a few fun extra features such as jet streams and bubbles which you can control from one end of the pool
Outdoor pool - on the roof there is a beautiful smallish pool, featuring exceptional views over the town, including the grand church and the hills behind. Really impressive
Gym - nice new equipment with TV in the room (if I remember correctly)
Jacuzzi - near the indoor pool
Sauna
Steam room
Beautiful gardens with nice seating areas. The gardens are exceptionally pretty and well maintained. Makes a great entrance to the hotel.
Restaurant / food ----------------------- Our package included free breakfast, which was above average. The hotel has a resaturant, which we opted not to dine in as it seemed pretty pricey, and seeing as it was so close to the restaurants nearby, we didnt think it was worth it.
There is a poolside snack service too. We found this pretty priced too and the food was mediocre.
Service ---------- Great throughout! The staff were exceptionally friendly, and seemed very genuine. Cant fault them at all.
Pricing --------- Not that cheap. We paid about £100 a night. That said, i really felt that it was worth it. There often seem to be specials on the website. Current advertised rates are (per night) between 310 and 250 Euro / night. We paid much less so look out for specials!
Booking ----------- We booked direct with the hotel, but you can use the usual web based hotel booking services too.
