...looked back at the meter he had turned it off. He charged me 30 Euros! Don't get caught out If they think you are staying at an expensive hotel they will try to rip you off! The hotel is where David Beckham stayed during the transfer talks. They have a big revolving door and a security guard who is quite scary with his big night stick! When I arrived the paparazzi were outside and it was quite difficult to push past them! The hotel air conditiomning is very very good. It was 35 degrees outside but inside was very comfortable. The hotel restaurant was expensive. I looked at the menu and it was about 40 Euros for a meal and it was dead. Nobody was eating on the evening I was there. The bar was busy and the staff spoke good English (They also didn’t laugh at my poor Spanish). But it is expensive at 15 Euros for two beers and a water... Read review

...Don Pepe's is located on Victoria Street just across the road from the lively Matthew Street and Cavern Quarter. The restaurant is downstairs in what is a very typically Spanish decorated setting and enjoys a mezzanine level as well as a magnificent water feature. The restaurant is quite large and will easily cater for large parties. In fact if you have a large party then Don Pepe's is an ideal choice with its long banquet style tables. During the busy times of the day the restaurant is lively and full of atmosphere. At quieter times it will provide the ideal setting for an intimate meal. The food is without want - you quite honestly could not ask for any better this side of Spain itself. There are several Tapas banquets available or you can pick your own. There is also a selection of main meals which should leave most people spoilt... Read review

...Me and my family stayed here a few years ago. You can't fault this hotel for luxury. After all it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms are spacious, it has a large open air pool with plenty of sun loungers. There are 2 restaurants which offer a variety of choices. However prices are high, and a better option would be to drive to Marbella about 10 minutes away. You will be spoilt for choices with an array of cuisines catered for. One downside if you don't have a car you have to take Taxi's everywhere which could be costly if traveling longer distances. A feature of the hotel is the cabane which is a 5 minute drive away, with regular shuttle buses to take you there. Here you can relax away from the crowds on your private stretch of beach or by the swimming pool. Full size beds will have to be booked in advance and sun beds are available... Read review
