Granada Studios is advertised as a top attraction and appears to be very popular if the number of people who go there are anything to judge by. But the numbers are swollen by coachloads of day trippers who, presumably, buy a packaged day out.
But does it provide good value for money?
It certainly is very expensive if you are taking a family and no doubt many are attracted to the site solely because they want to see Coronation Street at first hand. It is here, I feel people are going to be greatly disappointed because it is quite small and the Rovers Return is not quite what it seems. There are other exhibits but I did not feel they matched up to the hype of the 'tour'. As a day out I felt it was OK and perhaps there was something for adults and children but I came away disappointed.
I think it boiled down to cost. Very pricey for what you get but if you can get hold of some cheap tickets, which are on offer from time to time, then may be the time to take the kids. The food on offer failed to excite me so save some money and take a picnic.
