Touch down in Milan Linate. About 11am, quite hungry at this stage. Now, we have to try and find the Grand Visconti Palace, Not as luxurious as it sounds, but a reasonable price at 112 Euros per night for the both of us.
Other hotels to stay in that are reasonably priced are:
Zurigo Hotel- priced at 87 Euros.
Lloyd Hotel- priced at 94 Euros per night
The Winsdor Hotel - priced at 108 Euros per night
Executive Hotel- priced at 136 Euros per night.
All these hotels are recommended in the Milan Travel Guide Handbook.
After unpacking and getting sorted out, we went out for lunch. It is either pizza or pasta i thought.
But there are some reasonable priced but quality restaurants in Milan, with a large selection of food, not just Italian food, spread around the main heart of the city.
Bice- A popular luchtime place for business people...

Advantages: easy to use metro, great city Disadvantages: hectic
...i visited milan for a weekend in august last year and love the city. very crowded and busy place but a worthwhile experience. beautiful people walking around everywhere and great if hot and sunny. duomo (catherdral) is breathtaking and one can get great photos of this "asian-esque" looking building.

friendly city, but many a pick-pocket and beggars are rife, so beware! i'm a single 18yr old boy(was 17 when i went) and felt safe, but perhaps...

...I lived in Milan for two years when i was age 7 and 8, we had to move out there because of my dads job. When we first moved there we had to stay in a kind of hotel/bording house called the "Prince Pesse Catilda" translated into english as the "Building of Shit" my bed was a broken bit of drifwood that pulled/collapsed off the wall and the bathroom was more like a sunked ship.
Anyway after living/surviving there for six weeks we moved into a luxery appartment allong Vialle Montello right next to Parko Sempioni. Parko Sempioni was an oasis in Milan, full of happy children and ducks!(although after a resent visit last year where i almost got mugged i have now changed my mind!!) In the park was the main Arena where the apparently used to hold great sea battles, yeah SEA battles. They used to floor the Arena and reinact...
