Our first indication was when we sat in the plush entrance waiting for our rooms to be allocated (we were on a package so quite a few peopl descended on them at once). As we waited, people who had allready been allocated their room kept coming back down ... ...half a mile (ish) walk to the main centre of the resort (and a flat walk in Sorrento is unusual!). It's also on the Naples resort which makes it one of the first drop offs on arrival.
Overall we liked The Grand Flora and Sorrento is a wonderful resort. ...

I really feel that this photo does not do the hotel justice. Myself and my husband have stayed in this hotel for both our trips to Italy, and it has been a very enjoyable experience both times. The hotel itself i feel lives up to its name, especially the staircase and stunning chandelier and staircase in the main reception. The views of mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples from the top of the hotel restaurant were breathtaking, especially at sunset. ... ...efficiant and you got a little feel on the Italian culture through food and the way of the staff. The rooms were simple, and not too cluttered, having the essentials such as fridge, safe and air conditioning, as well as sky TV. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard, and fresh towels put in. The balcony overlooked the side of the hotel, but we didnt hear too much from the road, which was good. Advantages: Great employees Disadvantages: Close to busy road
...it hot in Italy so i liked to leave the doors to the balcony open but the traffic is lways loud, horns beeping and all at any time of the night as seeing as it is right on the main road this was a little frustrating.
We went there on half board. It was decently priced but i can't remember it. I am in lov with Italy and Sorrento is one of those places that you will fall in love with and the HotelFlora is an ideal place to stay, not perfect but good enough....

I recently spent three nights in the Albus Grand. On arrival we were upgraded to a superior room at no extra cost. I asked the receptionist why she had upgraded us .. she said she wanted us to have a happy day. That was a great start to a wonderful... more
