To be honest it has been a couple of years since I have visited this hotel. It was only the once but I stayed here for two weeks.
It is Ideal because it is so close to the town centre so you can simply walk down there from the hotel. The service by the employees was fantastic. One night for the desert, the waiters all came out with the desert, all with little sparklers in them which added a touch of charm, quirkyness and it is definately some place you would remember because of it. The pool was fantastic, always clean and it is a fairly big pool, approx 25 metres if I remember correctly. Which is a decent size for a hotel.
There are a few downsides to it however, there aren't many activites a child can do there so you have to take them elsewhere but it is only a train/boat/coach ride away from pompeii, Caprii, Vesuvius Also I found it hot in Italy so i liked to leave the doors to the balcony open but the traffic is lways loud, horns beeping and all at any time of the night as seeing as it is right on the main road this was a little frustrating.
We went there on half board. It was decently priced but i can't remember it. I am in lov with Italy and Sorrento is one of those places that you will fall in love with and the HotelFlora is an ideal place to stay, not perfect but good enough.

Oooh! As soon as I saw the words Sorrento, Amalfi Coast I was drawn to your review. I love the Amalfi coast, Positano etc. I stayed in Sorrento a couple of years ago (My hotel review is still pending, lol) so I was curious to see what this hotel was like. Like most Sorrento hotels sounds like its centrally placed. I think its the case of most hotels in Sorrento, Amlafi etc they dont have any organised activities/area for children I however found the staff genuinely friendly towards children. BTW, if you have any photos of the hotel, room, area etc I think you can attach them after a while when your member status turns into a colour! Bizarre I know! All the best , Ciao!-CH

I love this area. It;s the second Italian review I have read tonight. Time to go back. I thought your review lacked a little detail, no doubt because you have not visited recently, however from a consumer perspective, people want more information (Speaking as a consumer who has recently a lot of reviews on hotel sites for my next destination this summer)
