Grand Hotel Flora, Sorrento

I really feel that this photo does not do the hotel justice. Myself and my husband have stayed in this hotel for both our trips to Italy, and it has been a very enjoyable experience both times. The hotel itself i feel lives up to its name, especially the staircase and stunning chandelier and staircase in the main reception. The views of mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples from the top of the hotel restaurant were breathtaking, especially at sunset. Talking of the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and efficiant and you got a little feel on the Italian culture through food and the way of the staff. The rooms were simple, and not too cluttered, having the essentials such as fridge, safe and air conditioning, as well as sky TV. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard, and fresh towels put in. The balcony overlooked the side of the hotel, but we didnt hear too much from the road, which was good. The pool was clean and well kept. We didnt have an issue with the 5 euro charge as you were provided with a towel which was changed if it got wet, and it also prevented, sunbed hogging, which was very good. Again the staff were very friendly and there was always a life guardaround the pool. Overall i would reccomend this hotel as a great destination for if staying in Sorrento. It is 1/2 mile from the main strip which is good, as you feel in the town, but not too noisy. Excellent, and will be booking again next year
