...the side of the hotel, but we didnt hear too much from the road, which was good. The pool was clean and well kept. We didnt have an issue with the 5 euro charge as you were provided with a towel which was changed if it got wet, and it also prevented, sunbed hogging, which was very good. Again the staff were very friendly and there was always a life guardaround the pool. Overall i would reccomend this hotel as a great destination for if staying in Sorrento. It is 1/2 mile from the main strip which is good, as you feel in the town, but not too noisy. Excellent, and will be booking again next year...

Advantages: Quiet, romantic, great food, lovely setting, magnificent views, pool, bars, restaurant Disadvantages: You need to take a bus to get into Sorrento
...My husband and I went here for our honeymoon in August 2004. Our first impressions were that it was too grand for us! The entrance was lovely, all marble, with a light, airy bar, and the terrace outside the front of the hotel was large and well set out. Not one part of the entrance looked cheap.

The suite was on the top floor with a small terrace at the front. The views were just beautiful - right outside our room...

...other hotels in the chain and as ParcodelSole is the last pick up on a couple of occasions it was full. Alternatively the regular buses do stop near the hotel and cost 1 euro to reach town. There is also a taxi rank however other guests said these were expensive mainly due to the congestion allowing the meter to roll inexorably on and on.
First Impressions
Solid iron gates open out to a sweeping drive flanked by well maintained gardens and the occasional statue. At the top of the drive is an ornate water fountain. Immediately ankle biter number one and two are well impressed proclaiming it to be the most luxurious hotel they have visited. This rather presumptive declaration is not challenged by anything we see in the reception which is open and well set out with a large glass dome at one end allowing the light to enter. Check in is...
