Advantages: Impeccable service Disadvantages: Entrance shared with a Cinema
This Hotel was a superb bargain. We booked it thru Octopustravel, but there are many sites that will list this one.
We flew into Bergamo Airport with Ryanair, Bergamo itself would be a delightful place to stay, having an old Upper Town part that seems to have more interest than the newer lower town.
The transfer to Milan was easy, an Airport Bus that takes you to Milan Railway station, which if you get the directions ... ...The directions assume you are starting from in FRONT of the Station, we started from down the side where the Airport Bus drops you off.
At least we knew where to pick the bus up for the return.
First impression when you reach the Hotel is like it is an entrance to a Cinema, do not let this deter you as there is in fact a Cinema sharing the space.

The transfer to Milan was easy, an Airport Bus that takes you to Milan Railway station, which if you get the directions correct is only a 15 min walk from the Hotel. The Hotel deserves all the stars it gets.
The reception was smart. The staff Smarter and very friendly.
Escorted to your Room, you do not have to carry your own luggage in a Hotel like this.
The rooms very spacious and comfatable, excellent bathrooms. The Beds were very comfortable.
My wife feels the star of this Hotel is the Breakfast Room. A very welcoming breakfast room, Sunny (when we stayed) superbly presented Buffet Breakfast. All you could desire. Very smartly dressed staff attentive without being overpowering. All of the staff were a credit to their Hotel.
You are not in the Centre of Milan but there is a Metro stop very close to the Hotel which soon has you to the Cathedral. we found this metro system very Safe and efficient. Platform displays informing you of the next train, to the second.
Milan Cathedral is a must visit, it is truly Beautiful. Access to the roof is easy with a lift to do the work if you can not manage the climb. I suffer from Vertigo but did not have any problems on this roof/
Another visit we would recommend is to the Pianting of THE LAST SUPPER. As they only admit about 20 at a time, you must prebook a time slot. This has two advantages. You do not have to Q just turn up 15 mins before your time. and with only about 20 in the group you get a good view of the painting withou being rushed.
Take a chance to Travel on Milans old Trams, many are new but there are still a few of the old beauties, with their old light fittings and wooden benches.
Pass some time in the CANAL DISTRICT we found this very pleasant, many lovely restaurants, curio and antique shops and craft shops.
At about 17:00 hrs or finish work time all the cafes/bars seem to set up for the evening drink. 5 Euros may seem a lot for a drink, but they set up lots of food which is included in the price. So either have your evening meal late or be careful you dont spoil it as the presentation can be very tempting.
A very Stylish City, great bargains in the Designer Shops when a sale really is a sale.
So gents treat the Lady in your wife, nice Hotel, Superb Meals and dress Shops to die for.
Advantages: Next to subway, In a great shopping street Disadvantages: Not english breakfast
...which takes you to the grand central station. From there it is a simple matter of using the underground to get to the stop right next to the hotel which lies on the red line at the stop named 'Lima'. You will have to hop onto the green line to 'Loreto' to switch to the red line. You'll get the picture when you're in front of the rail maps, its quite straightforward as long you keep the ends of the line in mind.
Alternatively you may opt for taxi ... ...go to other cities the grand central station is a useful landmark to know how to get to. Once you get the underground in your system you'll be amazed how fast you can get to anywhere.
As for the hotel itself, the rooms are quite comfortable with available broadband as well as Internet on Tv. The television actually comes with its own keyboard. Bathroom facilities are also more than adequate, furnished even with a 'bede'. The morning breakfast leaves ...
