Grand Hotel Velingrad, Velingrad

If you want to forget the daily stress SPA Hotel Velingrad is the right place.
We have been for a few days and we really wanted to stay longer.

Personally me, I'm not fan of the big hotels but this one is different. The hotel is big but you feel comfortable. There is enough space for all guests.

About the rooms

The rooms are with modern design.
There is a terrace where you can enjoy the quietness and the sing of the birds.
There is Internet and TV. The TV offers a lot of films. The films are payed but they are really cheap. There is a mini bar with a lot of drinks, chocolates and so on. It is very interesting that by using your TV you may check your bill.
There is a bath in the bathroom. In the bathroom you may find everything you need staring from the shampoo and finishing with the hair-comb. There is a hair-drier and a special looking-glass for the woman.
There is an inverse air condition - for cool and warm.

Swimming pools

There is a big swimming pool where you can do sports and a big jacuzzi with hot water behind it. There is an other swimming pool outside where you can enjoy the sun. You don't need to bring a bathrobe from home because there is in the room. If you have forgotten your slippers - don't worry, there are slippers in the room.

SPA

There are few types of sauna and a cold room. One of sauna is dry, an other one is aroma sauna with water vapor. All are perfect for you skin.
There is one room where you may lie on a warm beds made of mosaic and you listen to the music.
There are a lot of showers with water massage.
This is the first time that I see a cold room where you can enter after the sauna. This is a real anti-stress.

Massage

There is a professional massage and you have a lot of options. In Bulgaria the massage is not expensive for the foreign tourist.

The nature around the hotel

The hotel is situated in the beautiful small Bulgarian town Velingrad. It is near the wood. The air is clean, it is quiet and you may go for a walk.

Food

The food is good but I can't say that it is perfect. Sometimes you expect different taste.
The breakfast is good. Nothing is missing. You may drink your coffee outside.

Price

All SPA facilities are included in the price. Of course hotels like this can't be cheap.

In comparison with other SPA Hotels in Bulgaria

It is one of the most luxury hotels. It is more expensive than SPA Hotel Augusta in Hissaria for example. If you are with a child it is better to go in Hissaria because you will not have the possibility to try all saunas and in addition there is a water slide. If you are just married I recommend Velingard.
