Lyons Battenberg Cake This has been on special offer recently in Tesco's and since the offer has been on I have been able to eat single handed 4 whole cakes. The offer being buy one get one free and for a price of £1.29 pence, which gets you the two cakes, I think it is well worth it. The Lyons Battenberg cake has been around for years and has been one of my favourite cake time treats for many a year. The fact that this cake is so sweet really satisfies me as I have a very bad case of sweet toothitis. The Battenberg Cake is made up of a super soft sponge centre that is in two different colours and four separate squares of colour giving the cake a chequered look. Lyon- France's alternative city break.

Advantages: Wonderful city

for you. The flight from Manchester to Amsterdam lasted approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive in Amsterdam you literally walk to your next gate. KLM give you a map in Manchester of the airport and so it is very easy to find your way around the airport. The second flight from Amsterdam to Lyon St-Exupéry airport lasted about an hour and a half. This was actually operated jointly by Air France and KLM. In actual fact, Air France and KLM have merged in order to operate budget flights across Europe, something I benefited from for my flight! Upon arriving at Lyon, you collect your baggage and then you can take a taxi or my recommended choice, a bus into Lyon city centre. The bus service is called Satobus and it runs every 20 minutes from the airport into the city centre of Lyon for only 15 Euros return which is really good considering ...

If you like coffee, you'll loathe these Lyons coffee bags

Lyons Fresh Coffee Bags It had to happen really, we've had tea bags for ages and over the years several companies have attempted to introduce the British coffee drinking public to coffee bags. Lyons have now jumped on the bandwagon with their version of coffee bags. The Product A one cup bag of ground coffee to make a cup of 'proper' coffee in an instant. Sounds promising, doesn't it? Proper coffee without having to use a coffee maker, percolator or filter machine. Proper coffee in the same time as it takes to make a mug of instant. The coffee bags are sold in a green foil pouch with the Lyons logo and the slogan 'Coffee Perfection Since 1904' in white .
