This review is based purely on our holiday to The Tropicana GrandOasisResort in November 2009, There are many different hotels in Sharm El Sheikh and different areas some already established and others are up and coming. The GrandOasis is part of a chain of hotels in the holiday resort of Sharm El Sheikh or Sharm for short. The GrandOasis is situated 15 minutes transfer from the airport in an area called Sharks Bay.

Advantages: Far too many too many to mention. Disadvantages: Haggling at the Bazaar
We rarely spend Christmas at home and prefer to get away from the miserable English weather to somewhere hot, but our choices are normally limited. This Christmas just gone we decided to go to Egypt where we knew we would be guaranteed the sun.
We stayed at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa from 21st December 08 until 2nd January 09.
The hotel is situated just outside Ne'ama Bay at Sharm El Sheikh, just a 15 minute drive from Sharm airport. Situated in the Sinai Peninsular and overlooking the Beautiful Red Sea.
I should mention this is classed as a 5* hotel and is all inclusive. (643 rooms on two floors)
First Impressions
On arrival we found ourselves travelling along a very grand, tree lined driveway, the trees were dripping with fairy lights, it was like entering Santa's grotto, very, very magical ...
Advantages: Gorgeous surroundings, peaceful and tranquil, large well equipped apartments Disadvantages: Card payment system, no cash allowed, no air conditioning!
The Oasis Golf Resort can only be described as perfect for a holiday retreat. As soon as you enter the complex you are greeted by the most helpful of staff and the most beautiful of surroundings. The reception area is lushly deisgned complete with chirping birds. Within this area is a very secure safety deposit system where you can be assured our precious belongings are safe. This is at a nominal cost. A lovely bar also awaits you in this area leading through into the restaurant. The complex is self-catering but the food in the restaurant is of high quality, with a good level of choice and at a reasonable price. Drinks are also reasonably priced.
Moving on through the reception and you are greeted by the wonderful sight of a large family orientated swimming pool complete with jacuzzi area and separate kids pool. The place just oozes ...
