Advantages Central Location
Disadvantages Size and quality of rooms. Lack of friendly or helpful staff.
I travelled as part of a large group and stayed in this hotel for a one week period. On first arriving we were made to wait on the rest of the group, although we all had separate rooms. This wasn't fun after travelling for 12 hrs.
The rooms are so small that I wouldn't recommend to anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or dislikes 60's type decor as I think this was the decade that the hotel was last decorated. Basic amenities such as irons and even hairdryers are not provided.
Staff, especially those on reception, were not particularly friendly or helpful and with no internet connection in the rooms, they seriously overcharge for use of PC's in reception. $2 for every 10 minutes with additional charges for use of Microsoft programmes such as Word or Excel.
The only positive points I found were the location of the hotel, which is very central for sightseeing or public transport, and the small cafe on the ground floor where food was excellent and cheap and the owner and staff were fantastically friendly and helpful - needless to say the owner leased the cafe from the hotel and it wasn't run by the same people.
