Anyway back to the hotel, it is named the grandview gardens because out the back is a huge garden which was infact used for a television show in china! It is free for those who stay in the hotel but if your not staying in there you have to pay. We spent a good couple of hours walking round it all. there is a huge man made lake in the middle with lots of trees and little chinese buildings and ornaments around. There is also a small animal 'zoo' which was quite nice. Peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs, deers, goats, monkeys etc. It was quite sad though because all the animals were so hungry and the staff sell food to visitors so you can feed them - so we did - and most of it! it was gone in a few seconds. Definalty worth visiting the gardens as they area beautiful, and in the evening there are shows. We didnt stay in the evening ...

First impression count with me and I was not to be dissappointed - the short but sweeping drive and entrance to the hotel was very Grand. A pale peachy coloured building with automatic glass doors and the sigh ANASTASIA BEACHHOTEL ****. Part of the Tsokkos group, there are a number of sister hotels in the Protaras area. The hotel offers traditional hospitable service, combined with the peaceful atmosphere and an ideal location, this hotel provides an excellent combination for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is conveniently located between the Protaras and Pernera areas, with its 190 rooms spread over 4 floors.

J & I had been to Sri Lanka for a holiday when we first started seeing each other. We had booked a last minute deal & stayed in a guest house . Whilst there we spent our days at the 5* Bentota Beachhotel using the pool & bar, for a small fee of £2 you can go to any hotel & use their facilities.This is a nice way of checking out the other hotels & generally being nosey.We fell in love with the place & decided then that if we went back we would stay at the hotel.One of the main things that had swung it for me was the resident elephant who was also part of the wedding ceremony.
