Advantages: Close to tube, lovely rooms, fantastic pool & sauna Disadvantages: website has few good photos
...After being very sceptical about the costs of hotels in London we saw an offer at the Grange City in May.
The room was very posh with big TV, seating area and a bathroom that I would love to have at home. The bed was very comfortable and for 4 nights I felt like a queen.
The location is great tube station less than a minutes walk. The Tower of London is just across the road and Tower Bridge nearby. There is a Wetherspoons 2 mins walk from the hotel and the prices are not too inflated compared to the North of England!
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicous a great selection - English breakfast extra cost mind you.
The pool, sauna and steam are just what you need after walking around all day. Very peaceful too. The jacuzzi was very good for the aches and pains in the knees!!
The reason the website has not got...

Advantages: Location, modern facilities, "Wellness Centre" - pool, spa, sauna, steam room Disadvantages: No view from the room
...My wife and I stayed at the Grange City Hotel over the most recent bank holiday weekend. Having stayed in many Londonhotels that have tiny rooms and feel fairly overpriced, I was pleasantly surprised with the Grange City Hotel.
The room was fantastic, and huge! The king size bed, desk, radio, tv with local channels, business channels as well as several sports and foreign language channels, and the option of internet and pay movies. Each room has a safe, iron, and tea and coffee making facilites. The minibar was even computerised! (be careful you don't touch anything unless you want to pay for it!)
The bathroom was immense, modern, and had a large bath and a separate shower.
Our room was supposed to come with 2 monogramed bathrobes, although they weren't there when we arrived. The friendly staff of the Grange ensured that we had...

...The city of Rochester, although rather over- shadowed by Canterbury as regards tourism in Kent,is nevetheless a very attractive city that has a good deal of history and heritage to offer the visitor.
Rochester is only 30 miles from London and is a city that captivated that brilliant writer,Charles Dickens. The great author actually spent much of his childhood here and in the surrounding countryside. This old city occurs frequently in his novels. The High Street of Rochester houses the unique Charles Dickens Centre which is open daily. Every year too there is the celebrated Dickens Festival when there are costumed calvacades, musical extravangas, competitions,a grand firework display and street entertainments.
Other attractions in this famous old city on the Medway include the Guildhall Museum, Six Poor Travellers House, a Norman Castle Keep...

I'm a big fan of Ibis hotels and stay in them for both business and pleasure. I had, however, read a bad opinion of the London Euston branch, so when I found myself needing to stay in Euston the other night it was with slight trepidation that I booked... more
Basically, if you're considering staying here, you probably have a small budget. If this is the case, I can reccommend it as it is great value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic yet clean, and the breakfast is more
