Great Southern Hotel has a welcoming atmosphere that emphasises friendly and hospitable service. Hotel has excellent facilities as well as comfortable guest rooms and public areas. The Hotel has been welcoming visitors since 1854 and in that time it has cared for Presidents and Princes, for business barons and church dignitaries, for world famous entertainers and sports people. It is truly the gracious \\\'old lady\\\' of Irish hotels. Although the hotel is in the centre of Killarney town, it is set in eight hectares of secluded landscaped gardens. Ireland does not have another hotel like the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.
Advantages: Beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Captivating. Disadvantages: You won't want to come home!!!

Unspoilt countryside...
A pace of life to be envied!!
An overview of one of the largest towns in Southern Ireland. All information was gathered on my trip to the Emerald Isle in July 2000.
Killarney Town
Killarney is a busy market town and the oldest and most popular tourist destination. That said it is not as busy or as much of a tourist trap as you think it is going to be. With ‘Killarney National Park’ and the ‘Ring of Kerry’ a short drive away you can easily escape into the beautiful unspoilt countryside of Southern Ireland
The town itself offers an extensive range of restaurants, entertainment and traditional Irish pubs. I would highly recommend 'Wilde Oscars' a bohemian, welcoming and stylish restaurant located in the centre of the town. A meal...

I think there are some great deals out there for this hotel, especially out of season - we certainly found the hotel to be really quiet at the beginning of September. Although located outside of the town centre and probably most handy if you have a car I think the hotel does offer a shuttle service into town a couple of times a day. The hotel is well located if you want to head out to do the ring of Kerry (sparing you the traffic of Killarney) - head to Rosbeagh beach for some great views and sea air. However the plus side of being outside of town is the lack of noise and traffic congestion. If you want a peaceful relaxing break with beautiful scenery this is the place to go!!...

Advantages: central location Disadvantages: staff not very helpful
...Last year Aug06, we decided to go to the ABC Caribbean islands, 1st of all we went to A island (Aruba) then the second island is C island (Curacao, it’s Southern Caribbean island). And we were on a very tiny budget, so we had to look for a cheap hotel, so we've looking at expedia.co.uk. And we found this hotel which is very central. It’s about GBP36 per night per room because we had a special deal, we stayed there for 4 nights but the 4th night is free, but breakfast is not included.
The 2 stars hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport (Hato Airport) and we hired a car from Avis it’s about GBP70 for 4 days and picked it up from the airport, which was very useful for the holiday (we can drive around to anywhere). It was very difficult to find the hotel car park, because there were no signs or directions. At the end we had to go...

“The Great Gatsby” is one of the most distinctive of love stories, it is a depressing peek into the heart of the hopeless, it is a view of the impossibility of the American dream and it is about spiritual vacuity and the death of love.
