...would recommend you take taxis to any part you visit as bus tours are a rip off and only let you see things under certain time constraints. The badaling part is the part most tourist go and visit and is probably the best part to visit for first timers. I visited the great wall about two years ago. I am not 100% sure which part in Beijing I visited but I am sure it wouldn\'t matter. All I can say is wow! The views are absolutely fantastic it is well worth the trip and I would do it again any day. You do need to be fairly fit if you want to see alot of it as its quite a long walk and your constantly going up and down.
