Niagara Falls awesome

Advantages: breathtaking falls
Disadvantages: Clifton Hill area

Niagara Falls is one of the most awe-inspiring sights that I have ever seen. Before you can see the falls you can hear the thunder of the water cascading over the edge. We were there in June 2000 and found the place to be one of contrasts. The Niagara Parkway which runs alongside the Falls and on north to Niagara on the Lake is undoubtedly one of the nicest stretches of road that I have ever travelled along. The area immediately next to the Falls is quite scenic with well manicured gardens and floral displays but only one block west at the Clifton Hill area you have what can only be described as tourist trash- a combination of hideous neon displays advertising Ripley’s’ believe it or not’ and Madame Tussauds etc - it is totally out of sync with the raw, natural beauty of the Falls and surrounding area to the north ...

Ongiara - Niagara. Thunder of Waters.

Advantages: Fun holiday resort with exceptional Waterfalls
Disadvantages: Can get extremely busy in summer months

that lies between Great Lakes Erie upstream and to the south and Ontario downstream and to the north with the city alone receiving more than 20 million visitors each year. The 35 mile long Niagara River forms a natural border between the United States and Canada with the resorts spanning the border. Park Lodge Guest House 122 Summergangs Road HU8 8LP http://www.parklodgehull.com Ok, so firstly a little about this place to set the scene? Park Lodge Guest House is situated in Hull, East Yorkshire, just off one of the main roads running from the town centre. It gets it name from the large park next door, which is a great place and I will talk about it in a bit. It has been operating as a guest house for about 20 years, but just over 1 year ago it was down-sized. It used to have 11 guest bedrooms, and was comprised of two large houses and a smaller building, but the other main house was sold, and the smaller building converted. The people who run the show are Malcolm Purcell, the proprietor, and his partner Marie Moverley. Also I help out on the weekends, and am usually the person called if something goes wrong, (they ...
