Hotel Amalia Delphi - Ok for a night
Advantages: Good location which is next to Delphi town Disadvantages: Mostly for bus tours
...have also stayed in Hotel Amalia Kalambaka and Hotel Amalia Olympia.
Hotel Amalia Delphi belongs to the Amalia Group of hotels in Greece and their main target is bus tour groups. Places like Kalambaka, Delphi and Olympia do not have convenient public transport serving them thus tourists most likely have to join bus tours.
Delphi is a small town which can be easily covered by foot. The historical site of Delphi is also easily accessible from Hotel ... ...100 rooms. Hotel Amalia Delphi is situated on a slope and overlooks the Corinthian Gulf. The nicest view from the hotel would be the balcony outside the lobby.
There are a few souvenir shops in the hotel itself and the reception also sells postcards, keychains etc.
Rooms are basic and they are ok for a night's stay. They provide basic toiletries and towels. There is also hairdryer in the room. The beds are comfortable and shower strong enough. ...

Only One Thing Left Wanting: More Time at Pink Palace!
Advantages: quiet, clean, inexpensive, delicious food Disadvantages: NONE
...honeymoon earlier this month at the Pink Palace. We loved every minute of the fourteen days we spent there - from the courteous staff checking us in, to the traditional Greek food, to the daily excursions. In my opinion, this hotel is top value with lots of options - clean, comfortable rooms with AC; two delicious home cooked meals included; inexpensive dinner drinks. We enjoyed the daily activities at a great price (kayak and quad safari took us ...

Manessi is one of the best hotels in Poros.
Advantages: much nicer than typical expected Greek accomodation Disadvantages: slight more expensive than usual Greek accomodation but well worth it.
After spending some two weeks on Poros island we were more than pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this beautiful hotel. Situated in the heart of the town, the Manessi hotel has some of the most beautiful views in the island. Staying in a small Greek we were not expecting the high level of luxury and comfort which we found in the Manessi hotel. It was extremely modern, clean and the staff were only too happy to help with our every needs. ...

Not King minos's palace but a nice family resort - Camari Gardens
Advantages: Reasonably priced, clean, accom, two pools, free sunbeds, free internet Disadvantages: A bit quiet for tennagers and certainly not clubs and bars bearby if you like that
WHERE IS THIS PLACE? Camari Gardens hotel apartments are situated in Gerani, near Rethymnon in Crete. This is a smallish family run resort with just 65 apartments and studios with 2 pools, a small playground, restaurant, reception/meeting area with book exchange library and a few electronic games and computers, a laundry, a small supermarket set in pleasant gardens overlooking the sea. http://www.camarigarden.com/main.aspx?lanid=English&pageid=Home ... ...through Thomas Cook holidays but prior to booking I read a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor. There were no really unfavourable comments about this resort and the vast majority were really positive so I chose this place on that basis. The holiday was a package including flights from East Midlands and transfers from Heraklion to the resort. In this review I will only concentrate on the resort rather than the Thomas Cook/ Airtours package (that is another ...

Lazy days at the Olvie Press Hotel, Lesvos.
Advantages: No mosquitoes on Lesvos, just very nice people at The Olive Press Hotel. Disadvantages: About a 2 hour transfer fron airport to resort, but a great journey.
...in sunshine, staying at The Olive Press Hotel in Molyvos, which is the north of the island.
The great thing about the island is that there are no mosquitoes……………..
The Olive Press Hotel, is set right on the edge of the sea, in fact the sea laps against one side of the hotel at night, which four elderly visitors had to complain about if only to us.
When we booked the resort and the hotel we where asked if we wanted a sea vies, a balcony or no preference, ... ...by the owner of the Olive Press and this is closed for the duration of the season, so no noise.
I read in the First Choice brochure that the rooms where small and we where not disappointed when we arrived to be shown to our room and it was on the small side, but very adequate for our needs. We had in the room a built in wardrobe, a small fridge, dressing table with stool, low table to put your cases on and a chair, plus two bedside tables so really ...
