Are you seated comfortably? This is a long review of my stay at Blackpool?s Grand Metropole.
WHAT AND WHERE?
The Grand MetropoleHotel, Blackpool boasts that it is the only hotel in Blackpool located between the sea and Blackpool promenade which is certainly the truth. From the hotel there are fabulous views of the Irish Sea. The hotel is fairly close to both the North Pier and Blackpool Tower and is within walking distance from many of Blackpool's attractions. There are numerous bars, restaurants and nightspots within a few minutes walking distance of the hotel, some even less than a minute away.

Advantages: Unique, Extremely Comfortable, Location, New build, Service Disadvantages: Maybe a little pricey
OVERVIEW
If you are considering a trip to Ireland, one of the most popular areas to visit is around Cork. Although I've been to Ireland almost annually since a child, I'd never visited Cork until this year. When booking my recent trip I came across the Cork International Airport ...
Advantages: Luxurious Disadvantages: Let down with service in some areas
The GreshamHotel in Dublin has been a landmark in the city since 1817 when Thomas Gresham bought the street. The hotel, situated at 23 Upper O?Connell Street, Dublin, is the Flagship of the Gresham Chain, which includes properties in Dun Loughaire, Cork and Amsterdam.
You can reach the hotel from the airport by catching the ?imaginatively? named 747 Airport Bus straight into the city, and the first bus stop is right outside the Gresham, this bus costs 5-6 Euro. Alternatively a taxi into the centre of town will cost around 25 Euro.
I was in the fortunate position of being able to stay in the Gresham for two nights as part of my last EVER residential school for my MBA. (Yay!). I decided to lengthen my stay in Dublin by booking an additional two nights B and B accommodation for myself and hubby to be tagged on in front of my ...
