Advantages: charming reasonably piced rooms and award winning food Disadvantages: can get busy
purposes I asked to have a look at the exec rooms on the premise of staying. Unfortunately Sir Winston's room was unavailable to view but the room I did see was very tastefully decorated complimenting the Georgian architecture. The view across the harbour was stunning. Being able to wake up and gaze upon that emerald sea gave the accommodation even more credence. At this point I vowed that if I should ever return to Northern Ireland I would definitely stay here.
Food.
Our arrival at the Londonderry Arms hotel unfortunately coincided with a coach party filling the award winning restaurant so we were forced to eat in the coach house bistro. The Francis Anne and Tapestry room restaurant as it is known has been awarded the AA Rosette for culinary excellence and the Taste of Ulser award, so naturally I was disappointed not to have tried ...
Advantages: The city has come on, on leaps and bounds over the last few years Disadvantages: City can still be divided on certain issues

The people of Londonderry/Derry are a friendly bunch and will welcome strangers and tourists with open arms - always ready to tell a story or join in ...
Advantages: Great location, clean Disadvantages: Staff arent great at answering the telephone!
I went to Londonderry in February basically for a cheap weekend away! Dont ask why we chose Londonderry!! But anyway after a short taxi ride we arrived at the hotel which has an impressive building front, taking the lift up we walked into the huge reception area and we checked in without any problems.
The room we had was a basic double room but it was huge! God knows what a suite looked like! We had alot of wardrobes trying to use up the space! The bathroom was of a very good size and wonderfully clean!!
We chose not to have breakfast - TIP dont have the hotel breakfast it costs £8.00 per person, go to Wetherspoons next door and a full Irish breakfast costs about £2.00!!!!
Our first night was fine but our second night was completely ruined by a drunk lad kicking all the bedroom doors at 4am in the morning.....after 5 attempts ...
