First of all I'll must tell you, that this is my first opinion in English - I hope that you dont't grumble at my bad English, but I'll improve it and you can help me.
My first opinion tell you something about the green vault in Dresden. This is one of the most magnificent Treasury museums in Europe. In German it's called Grünes (green) Gewölbe (vault). The founder of the green vault was Augustus the Strong, the king of Saxony and King of Poland.
The exhibition was formerly in the castle of the Wettiner in Dresden. Wettiner was the name of the king-family from Saxony - and Augustus the strong was one of them, probably the most important. After the destruction in 1945 and the come back from Russia move the collection to the Albertinum, which is also situated in the centre of Dresden, near the river Elbe:
Nowadays you can visit 4 rooms in this Treasury museum. The green room, the blue room, the red room and at last the yellow room. In the first room, the green room, you can see masterpieces from the 16. and 17. century, the time of renaissance. The next room, the blue room, show you, masterpieces of amber and ivory. In the third room - the red room - is exhibited the creations from Permoser and Dinglinger, who were the court artists in the time of Augustus the strong. There you can see the masterpiece "Court at Dehli on the Birthday of Grand Moghul Aureng-Zeb" .In the last room - the yellow room - you can be astonished at the rich collection of precious objects and jewels. There are eight jewel garnitures of diamonds, rubies, emeralds, carnelians and sapphires.
In my opinion you must visit the green vault if you'll visit Dresden in the east of Germany, because is much more magnificent as I can tell you about my poor vocabulary.
The opening times is 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - but closed Thurdays.
The admission is 4 € -concession 2,50 €.
Sorry for my bad english and Thank you for your reading
