Advantages: Relaxing and Luxurious Disadvantages: Not a huge range of facilities
The Grupotel Macarella stands just behind the marina of Cala n Bosch. The reception has a staircase up to the pool area and lifts situated round the hotel offer easy access to the various floors. The hotel Macarella sets standards with its food which is excellent and fresh meats cooked fresh for you when you go up to the buffet area. The restaurant and tables are set out for a good dining experience.
Entertainment is sparse, but its own entertainers make sure the kids are catered for with its mini discos. The hotel is ideal for couples rather than families with more than one child. The pool area is not bustling and sunbeds should be quite easily obtained, the hotel removes any towels saved on sunbeds for long periods.
The rooms are spacious for couples and offer nice views over the pool, marina, and beach. Some rooms are situated ...
Advantages: Location; Wildlife; Accomodation; Range of activities; Shops Disadvantages: Quite expensive; accomodation could be a fair distance from main areas!
were very close to wildlife! We were greeted each morning by large swans, ducks, squirrels, birds...they come quite close, too, and the Parc is full of wildlife, which was lovely. They would all come to our patio door in the morning expecting food!

Advantages: Great family holiday, perfect for kids, lovely natural setting, plenty to do Disadvantages: Lodges can be shabby, you will wear yourself out with all the activity!
Center Parcs is a resort type holiday where the aim is to enjoy a family holiday in natural surroundings. Accommodation is in self catering units, although there are plenty of restaurants available. The holiday can be as relaxing or as active as each individual chooses. There are plenty of optional activities available for those that want to keep busy or expand their horizons. The basic cost of the holiday includes accommodation and you then pay for any additional pursuits you wish to engage in. The main attraction for most families is the natural setting and almost total absence of cars. Apart from the checking in days of Monday and Friday no cars are allowed. This makes for a very peaceful holiday where the main mode of transport is on foot, by bike or even in some cases on horseback!
