Advantages: central location Disadvantages: everything else!
Stayed at the GuitartCentralPark for a short 4 day break on 29th Oct. When we arrived we werent given any indication of where anything was (its a huge place). We werent allowed to check in til 2:30pm so arriving at 10:30am in the rain was a real mistake. The indoor pool is NOT open so do not book this hotel if you want this facility. We booked especially for this and were sorely disappointed (especially as it rained every day). We stayed all inclusive, food: average/poor - geared towards the french and german, entertainment: laughable - honestly 1 guy on a keyboard singing whilst the spanish guests line dance! no facilities included: they want you to pay 15euros per day to use the gym, tennis is extra, snacks are extra etc, ect. We stayed in the economy rooms which were what we expected basic but reasonably clean - absolutely fine ...

We stayed here for 6 nights in Febuary of this year (2008) and found it to be very good value for money, and the weather was surprisingly good which was an added bonus.
It was a last minute cheap gettaway I had already booked the flights with Ryanair and not decided where we were going to stay exactly, and then we decided to try lloret. We chose The Royal Beach because it was very resonably priced (£208 for 6 nights all - inclusive for two people) and it had fairly good reviews.
One mistake I did make though was I had booked the hotel and flights seperate and didn't bother with transfers we just got a taxi from Girona airport to resort, this was easy enough to do but cost 50 euros each way. I found out when we got home I could have booked a transfer both ways for about £25 so could have saved quite a bit of money there ...

The only thing which we had a slight problem with was the huge hill the apartments are situated on. To get to the resort centre and Lloret beach, you have to walk down the hill, although it\'s not too far, it is a killer to get back up! For the less mobile and disabled, this could be a problem. There is the smaller Fenals beach nearby but this involves a large number of steps to go down to so is not really practical either.
The only reason I have rated these apartments as satisfactory is because of the access issues some people may have, apart from that, they make a great base for families and young people and are inexpensive. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely go back! ...
