Gulf Paradise Hotel, Doha

Sheraton Doha is an amazing old style 5* hotel

Advantages: 5* service, excellent food, clean big rooms with seating areas
Disadvantages: None

The service at this hotel was amazing. As soon as we got there, people took care of our luggage without even asking us. The food was amazing, they had everything on offer set up as a buffet, but with the most amazing food selection: you could choose anything for breakfast from eggs and cerial to sushi and salads, lunch was a selection of local specialities and western dishes and dinner was like you're dining at a really posh expensive restaurant. The selection of wines was also excellent, considering it's in Doha, which is quite a traditional place. The hotel has it's own beach with lounging chairs. I didn't get to see the gym (I was on holiday lol) but a friend said he was really surprised with the facilities. Apparently they had every concievable machine. Hotel Paradise

Advantages: Friendly staff, good sized rooms, plenty to do
Disadvantages: reception opening times, maids and windy weather!

• Hotel Paradise Resort, Lanzarote * Well my family and I had this holiday booked since the end of January so we had been looking forward to it all year. Neither of us had ever been to Lanzarote so we didn't know what to expect. It was my mum and brothers first time abroad where it was hot; they've been place in Europe France mainly on previous holidays but not a sunny holiday. It was also my little brothers first time on a plane so he was well excited. • Getting Booked Up * I wasn't actually meant to be going on this holiday; it was originally just my mum, her boyfriend and my little brother going. Gulf Air

Advantages: clean, comfortable, good service
Disadvantages: No direct flights out to Asia

return trips (making that 12 flights given they all needed a change over) and for each of these Gulf Air was the cheapest available flight, twice when I had booked a good few months in advnace and once when I needed a relatively last minute flight. They are definitely a good option to check out if price is a pressing issue. All bar one of my flights arrived within minutes of their designated landing time and so I would say the airline is very puntctual. One flight from New Delhi to Bahrain was delayed by around 3 hours and as a result I missed the connection from Bahrain to London. All passengers who were affeted were immediatel booked onto the next available flight which was in 12 hours time and given a free visa to Bahrain, a 4 star hotel room with 3 meals and transport to and from the hotel in the interim.
