Family Friendly

Gullivers-- an ideal place for little people!

Advantages: Great for families and a compact site.
Disadvantages: Staff attitude not very helpful

...a ride through story of Gulliver's travels, the models are animated but unfortunately they do look very tired and in need of some TLC, however this is a restful few minutes so I always like to go on to get a sit down! On the next floor of the castle there is an enchanted wood which is a walkthrough attraction with interactive displays, young children can sometimes be a little scared but older children seem to like it. This emerges into another soft ...
...sit on. Gulliver's is nice and clean and the toilets were always spotless when we visited. There are nappy changing areas but I have not used those. The park is attractively laid out. I am lucky enough to have been to Disneyland which is probably why I feel some of the attractions here look a bit tired and could do with a little attention to detail but overall it offers an enjoyable day. The only thing that bothers me about the park was the lack ...

A good day out for families with younger children

Advantages: rides suitable for smaller children, small park, less time between rides
Disadvantages: not suitable for older children or thrill seekers

...5 year old daughter to Gulliver's and she had a great day. The park is quite small, but the rides are all aimed at the younger end of the market. Although it was Father's Day, which meant Dad's with two other people paying got in free, and the weather was good, the park did not seem crowded and we did not have to queue for more than 5 or 10 minutes for any ride or attraction. The biggest roller coaster has a minimum height of 110cm, but apart from ...
...supervision, and if your child is less than that, they get in free. It cost £11.30 each to get in which is in my opinion is good value as we spent over 5 hours in the park. The food is reasonably priced and the quality is OK, but there are plenty of picnic spaces. All the staff we met were very polite and friendly, and actually talked to the children, which is more than you can say for most theme parks. Some areas of the park were a little tired, ...

Near Death Experience

Advantages: Not many - it has rides that don't kill.
Disadvantages: But they come close

For clarity, this is the review of Gullivers in Warrington - not Milton Keynes or Matlock. This is going to be one of those reviews where I'm going to be squeezing every last bit from my memory and failing. It wasn't long since I last went . last summer I think but as I sit here I struggle to remember the finer points. There may not have been any. It's possible. Likely. Well, certain. The thing is that this, my wife decided, was to be a birthday treat for me. In other words, we needed to do something in the sprawl of the summer fore the kids and guess what - hey, my birthdays in the summer isn't it? Much like having a Happy Birthday Vasectomy or trapping my todger in the patio doors to add some spice to a dull winter Sunday. Don't get me wrong. I like the fairground but we now suffer from being adrenalin junkies and I want my ...
