Advantages: Nice bathrooms and good breakfast Disadvantages: Too many to mention

Were very disappointed with the rooms - not what I would call 4 star - very basic and the furnishings were tatty. The telephones didn't work the whole of our stay; the balconies were very small and we had a lovely view overlooking the air-conditioning units! We arrived on Friday and had booked to stay until Sunday (3 days) and got to the hotel at 1.30pm. Our rooms weren't ready and we had to wait 2 hours for them - not impressed! When we got to the rooms, the cleaners were still in there.
Were very disappointed with the rooms - not what I would call 4 star - very basic and the furnishings were tatty. The telephones didn't work the whole of our stay; the balconies were very small and we had a lovely view overlooking the air-conditioning units! Also, the TV only seemed to like showing us Russian programmes - not much use when you're English! The one good thing about the rooms were the bathrooms - bright and clean and excellent showers.
The keys to the room (the electronic swipe card type) never ever worked - we had to insert these things at least 20 times before the door opened, which was really inconvenient when all you wanted to do was to get into your room after a night out!
The corridors leading to the rooms were very narrow and smelt of food - on leaving the lift we were confronted with cigarette stubs all over the floor - not a good first impression.
Also, the walls of the rooms were very thin. There were a lot of stag parties at the hotel and one night we were woken up at about 2.30am by the guys in the room next door shouting and laughing and moving furniture around - this went on for 2 hours!!!
Customer service was poor - reception were unhelpful, bar service was extremely slow.
The pool area was very small bearing in mind the size of the hotel - there were not enough sun beds to go round and the pool itself was not that large.
On the plus side the grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. A huge choice of food was available and you could sit outside to eat - one of the best things about this hotel.
Having stayed at many 4 star hotels all over Europe; in my opinion this hotel doesn't warrant its 4 stars - it's more like a 3 star and unfortunately I wouldn't stay there again, although Marbella was lovely and I would go back tomorrow!
Advantages: Resturant/food, large pool, casino, not far from harbour Disadvantages: Views on some sides of hotel, wrong side of puerto banus
I must say that either this hotel has changed its policies or I must disagree with the other reveiwer admittedly there were several downsides to the hotel such as the hotel was the wrong side of the main road in puerto banus, but there were taxis waiting outside the hotel all night, the taxis were expensive but nothing more than you would expect to pay for this area or you could use the underpass route which envolved a short walk to the harbour. ... ...all that great although Louis' lounge is worth a visit with some good live music on sundays.
The Good:
Nice big pool with poolside bar and restaurant, good facilities; clean indoor pool, gym, sauna, games room and a casino with free entrance. Friendly Staff too.
Large spacious clean rooms with large bathrooms, range of breakfast; continental, cooked or even Cava and cavier ...
