We stayed at the H10 for 6 nights in late June and found this hotel to be fantastic. We had a junior suite which was spacious with a lounge area, bedroom and large bathroom (Bath and shower over bath). The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. A nice set of welcome toileteries and travel items inc toothbrush, razor, comb and even a sewing kit. Shampoo and Showergel were replenished daily. There are two wings to this hotel and I think we were in the most newly decorated wing (left wing) we had a 5th floor room which was quiet but if you are going with young children I would suggest you may want to request a room on one of the lower floors as the balcony wouldn't be very safe for little ones.
The lobby area is one of the best features of this hotel it's huge and beautifully furnished and decorated with trendy neutral colours. It's just like the pictures onthe website. There are 8 internet stations in the lobby, but are expensive to use, at 1 Euro for 10 minutes. There are internet cafes in Banus which will be cheaper. The pool area is large although the sun loungers can get busy at peak times. The pool area is nestled in between the horseshow shape of the hotel so it feels really tucked away and a tranquil. There is one large pool and a small children's pool outside. there is also a small children's play area outside and a table tennis table.
Inside near the spa is an indoor pool and jacuzzi. There is a gym, which is glass panelled on all sides so you can look out over the garden and pool area. There is no extra cost to use the gym, although you do need to pay extra for spa treatments. We had breakfast included in our room rate and found breakfast to be great. A bigger selection than any other hotel I've stayed in. Breakfast is buffet style and you can sit in the restaurant or out on the terrace. Its served from 8-11am which allows a nice holiday lie-in. Check out is also late - 12 noon.
We were pleased with the hotel's location as it was close to the beach and the centre of Puerto banus, but not so close that you got any club noise at night. About a 5-10 walk to the centre. There is a bus stop on the dual carriageway next to the hotel to take you into Marbella, with buses every half an hour. Or there is a catamaran from the port (outside Sinatra's bar) if you fancy a boat trip over (15.00 return). Our only negative was that there was no iron in the room or availble in the hotel to use. You could put items through the laundry service (approx 5.00 euros). Also no kettle for making hot drinks. Although if you choose the premier package you do get a Nespresso coffee machine in your room.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any one in a wheelchair unless you have a car as to get to the centre of Puerto Banus you need to go under an underpass which has a lot of steps or a very steep ramp.Overall a great hotel, and very worthy of it's 4 stars. We would definately stay again.
