Advantages: Located close to theme park Disadvantages: Could be busy height of season
We stayed in this hotel for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. I must admit that I work within the Travel Industry and would tend to be quite critical. But this hotel was great and met all our needs.
*********LOCATION*************
Best to start here. The transfer to the hotel was great. It is only 10 Km from Reus Airport, so it was ideal with a small child. Anybody with kids will know what I mean as the constant "Are we there yet ?" can really grate on your nerves. So we were no sooner on the coach than we were off again. Another plus was the fact that it is just 300 metres away from the PortAventura amusement park, and next to the beach and several golf courses (for any golf enthusiasts like my husband).

For a group I had not heard of they have many other hotels in Salou, Barcelona, Madrid, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria

Top marks for H10 Med Village (I also must add this hotel is only just over a year old!)
I have now been able to upload a couple of pictures which I think you may find interesting and give you a idea why I have been raving about this hotel. ...
Advantages: Clean, Cheap, Cheerful Disadvantages: A big, busy resort
Aquatic Park PortAventura 10 minutes bus ride from Salou and Aquapolis in La Pineda, which is about 20 minutes bus ride from Salou. We went to Aquapolis which we had heard was bigger and better. It certainly was big and it was great, although a bit expensive and once you paid to get in you still had to hire beds and rings for certain slides, but it was a good day.
PortAventura Theme Park is amazing only 20 minutes from Salou and well worth a visit ( I have also written a review about this).
All in all we had a great holiday, Salou is not really a place for a traditional Spanish holiday, it is very British, but it is fun in the sun and there's plenty to do.
The apartments were very very basic but were clean and as we only used then to sleep in very adequate.
A little update - for the four of us for the last week in July ...
