WARNING! Please read if you are intending to stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, Grand Canary. We booked a week break to stay at what we thought was a 5 starhotel arriving late on Saturday night we went straight to our room which looked very nice and was well placed in the hotel 5th floor and overlooking the pool. When we woke up the next morning we noticed that we were infested with tiny spider like ants all around the room, we went to the welcome meeting and informed the Holiday rep and Hotel reception they agreed to fumigate the room whilst we were out, we found a load of these dead spider/ants when we returned so we thought this would be the last of the matter. Next day it got worse they were every where in our clothes in the safe everything we moved or touched these tiny little creatures were everywhere, again we reported it to the hotel reception and the holiday rep it was agreed that they would once again fumigate the room and wash all our clothes. Third day into our holiday we were still running alive with these little creatures I returned to the desk first thing in the morning to inform them that they needed to wash all our clothes and move us to a room that was not infested other wise we would just be taking them with us, a room was provided and we were told to leave all our luggage in the original room which we did. In the process of us moving to the other room the wife was informed by the hotel staff that the hotel would not wash the clothes but would shake them out, as far as the holiday rep and ourselves was concerned this was not the agreement so i returned to the room to find the reception staff holding up our clothes and spraying them with insecticide. This was the last straw we contacted the holiday rep and were moved to the hotel GranCosta Meloneras. I have never needed to complain regarding a holiday ever but this was a complete disaster I can only judge this hotel on our experience if you decide to stay here Good luck if you don't you have made the right decision for a 5 star hotel this doesn't come close.
