The H10 Salauris Palace is a lovely modern hotel and the room we had was exactly the same. It was a good size (easily took 2 adults and a child) with plenty of space. It was nice and bright with good wardrobe space. The wardrobes were slide robes. Also our room had air-conditioning. Our beds were twin beds beside each other (the typical layout for the continent). The room had a large desk and TV. The TV ... ...also a good size with a table and 4 chairs and still plent of room to move. There were floor to ceiling curtains on the patio doors. Our room was cleaned everyday!!! The hotel supplies each room with a safe which is laser operated and is very safe. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and even the shower curtain was changed evryday. You can also rent a Minifridge if you want.

The pool area was great, ... more
We stayed in this hotel for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. I must admit that I work within the Travel Industry and would tend to be quite critical. But this hotel was great and met all our needs.
*********LOCATION************* Best to start here. The transfer to the hotel was great. It is only 10 Km from Reus Airport, so it was ideal with a small child. Anybody with kids will know what I mean as the constant "Are we there yet ?" can really grate on your nerves. So we were no sooner on the coach than we were off again. Another plus was the fact that it is just 300 metres away from the PortAventura amusement park, and next to the beach and several golf courses (for any golf enthusiasts like my husband).

It was nice and bright with good wardrobe space. The wardrobes were slide robes. Also our room had air-conditioning. Our beds were twin beds beside each other (the typical layout for the continent). The room had a large desk and TV. The TV came with satellite coverage and international channels. The balcony was also a good size with a table and 4 chairs and still plent of room to move. ***********POOL*********** The pool area was great, it was a large freeform pool with a beautiful waterfall in it. There is a good sized round kids pool as well. Once a week there were large blow ups and slides in the pool for kids. There is plenty of space arround the pools for sunbathing and ample loungers.
***********FACILITIES******** There is a kids club on during the day called the "Daisy Miniclub" and evening entertainment for them from 6-8pm, after that the adults were catered for. During the day there are plenty of games such as bingo and they even provide scuba diving practise sessions in the pool. There is a children’s park and the entertainment programme is quite good. The hotel also has a laundry service if you need it. I did not avail of this service, but friends we made while thier did and said it was very good. There is a beautiful garden area and solarium and a Gymnasium with a sauna, Turkish bath and massages for anybody wanting to relax.
*****************FOOD************ Everyday we went for our breakfast and our dinner. It was fresh and varied and more food was brought out all the time when any food ran out. The staff were always really nice and polite. The hotel catered for everyone and the menu changed in the buffet everyday for a week and they even had mexican themed nights. I have to say the food was superb. They even provide a mini buffet for the kids e.g smily faces spaghetti. The breakfast varies from fries to croissants and to fruit and all drinks are free in the morning eg cappucino, orange juice etc.
**************OVERALL*************** This 4* property was great and my overall opinion is that I would return to it in a heartbeat.
Advantages: Clean, Cheap, Cheerful Disadvantages: A big, busy resort
In August of this year my hubby and our son (14) and daughter (9) stayed in Salou for 2 weeks. We stayed in the Albatros Apartments, which were situated on a bit of a hill about 10 minutes walk from the main strip. We liked the situation of these apartments as Salou is quite a hussley bussely place and quite noisy at night time, but where we were was fairly quiet.
The flight from Glasgow only took 2 1/2 hours and the coach journey from Reus Airport ... ...time was great. Check in was also very quick, there were quite a few people who arrived at the same time as us, but there were 4 or 5 receptionists doing check in. When we booked we probably left it a little late and could only get a studio apartment for the 4 of us so we were a bit concerned about the size. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The room was fairly big with 2 single beds joined together and a settee with a pull out bed underneath. ...
