The MolinosPark hotel in Cap Salou, I have been to Salou before when I was a lot younger and being a skint student after our exams my boyfriend and I decided we couldn't afford much so found us a last minute deal to Salou, knowing it's not that far away on a 2 hour flight and that it was near Barcelona and the world famous theme park - Port Aventura.
So we booked it, Cap Salou (a quieter suburb), not far from Salou, or so they said. A 3* All Inclusive hotel for a week for next to nothing. We decided to go for it.
We arrived late and were hungry, food had stopped being served for the day, which was a bit annoying but we checked in, which was fine, friendly staff and got our key, dumped the bags in the room and headed to the bar for a drink as we were parched.
My first opinion was why are all these kids not at school, it ...
Advantages: Cheap all inclusive holiday, friends staff, good food and drink selection Disadvantages: Alot of the enlgish who went to this hotel were horrid.
CAN BE VERY LOUD / DRUNK but by no means guaranteed.. we only had 3 groups of these people while we were there, out of hundreds.
Ok, We arrived about 11pm and were booked in straight away, given out all inclusive bands and information on the opening times, and given our key straight away. The Entrance hall was very nice and large, and the hotel receptionsist was very friendly. We were aware of this, but i wil ay that as were were at the end of the season, the air conditioning was not turned on in the rooms, which was fine as it was cooler.
The rooms were clean and tidy, but as with alot of salou, the drains did produce a transient smell, which went away after about 2 hours.. about once a day. This was bearable as we only really went into our rooms to sleep. I will add, the only problem with the rooms is that the walls were very thin ...
This is a honest review from a travel agent. I have just returned from a 14 night stay at the Venecia Park Hotel in Salou. I will write this in as much detail as I possibly can and hope this will be very helpful to anyone thinking of going to this hotel.
Flight from the uk was very convenient as only took 2 hours 15 mins.
On arrival at Reus Airport we decided to get a taxi from outside the main terminal building which was very quick and easy to do and only cost 30 euros. The taxis were waiting and it took approx 15 minutes to get to hotel. Much quicker than on the transfer buses.
RECEPTION.
Upon arrival we were checked in very quickly by a friendly, cheerful, helpful member of staff. We had to sign one form, have photograph taken for our all inclusive card and that was it off to the room we went.
