This hotel is well worth the price you pay. We managed to get an extremely good deal and wouldn't have even minded paying the original brochure price. We arrived at the Hotel and even though it was february, there were a number of guests staying at the property. The rooms were clean and there was a maid service daily. The pool was also large and cleaned on a daily basis. The hotel attracted mainly older guests and walkers and this meant ... ...which was lovely! The hotel food is of good quality and there is an elevated terrace overlooking the pool which you can enjoy your food/drinks at. All of the staff are very helpful and accommodating and even though English is the 3 most popular language on the island, they were always very polite and literate. We arrived at the Hotel and even though it was february, there were a number of guests staying at the property. The rooms were clean and there was a maid service daily. The pool was also large and cleaned on a daily basis. The hotel attracted mainly older guests and walkers and this meant that there were no roudy and rude guests staying there which was lovely! The hotel food is of good quality and there is an elevated terrace overlooking the pool which you can enjoy your food/drinks at. All of the staff are very helpful and accommodating and even though English is the 3 most popular language on the island, they were always very polite and literate. There is a small shop in the hotel reception and has the essentials you may require whilst on holiday. We visited La Palma in low season, but the shelves in this shop, and all of the ones around the town were full. There are a number of trips that can be organised through the tour operator and we partook in a number of these. We visited the national park which was excellent and a definite recommendation as this was very informative and a worthwhile day out. We also visited a local wine producer and the wine there was very nice, a few bottles were certainly purchased! We also walked around the top of a dormant (thankfully!) volcano and this was certainly an experience!! This is not good for those with height issues as on one side there was the volcano, on the other was a near vertical drop and the only thing that divided the two was a narrow path! BEWARE do not proceed with the walk if it is a windy day as the path narrows the further along the volcano you go and this is a tad risky! (hence most of us turned back!!) The weather in february is certainly more favourable than the UK but you should take a jacket and trousers as the wind can bring the temperature down dramatically! Overall this was a good holiday and we would certainly consider returning.
