hotel kriti, chania

Advantages: good location, nice breakfast, comfortable rooms
Disadvantages: thin walls

I recently stayed at the 98 room, 3 star Hotel Kriti in Chania, Crete for one week. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the waterfront, and 8 minutes from the main shopping district. The room was comfortable, with an en suite bathroom, balcony tv, mini bar, hairdryer, and air conditioning with plenty of storage for clothes. However the walls of the room are thin, and occasionally noise was a problem. The hotel has a large swimming pool, bar, snack bar with light meals, and a large lobby. There are also public use P/Cs, with ADSL 1024 connection, for internet and e-mail services. Staff were friendly and always on hand if we had any problems. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of different cereals, juices, jams and spreads, breads and pastries, as well as cold meats, cheese, hot eggs and sausages. Overall ...

Fantastic view on the port

Advantages: Very nice hotel, great value for money
Disadvantages: candles in the terrace would have been a +.

I am just back from Crete where I stayed in Casa Leone Hotel in Chania. The hotel has 5 rooms so it is very feeling like home. The room we were in is the honey moon suite. Fantastic terrace overlooking the port. We spent many start of evening there have some wine we could store in the fridge that is in the room. The hotel provides you with glasses and corksrew. This was very romantic. The room is great too but I didn't spent much time in it. The bed is very large and comfortable. Bfast was nice, changing daily so it is not repettivie and it makes you feel even more at home. The yogurt was delicious. The main room of the hotel has very high ceiling and a column in the middle. Venitian style I was told. To be honest it is very beautiful. Staffis fantastic too and you have free internet. Excellent value for money. website: casa ...

Eria Resort Hotel for Disabled People:

Advantages: accessibility,disabled and older clientel
Disadvantages: food,no good for families and younger people

of fresh fruit as compensation but no refund. The area was great and the staff (with one exception) were all very helpful and agreeable, but most of the delights of the village (such as the local barber who was once a bluecoat at Butlins and the supermarket with delicious ice-cream for one euro) we discovered for ourselves. The trips out in the hotel's accessible mini-bus were excellent. The only dissapointment was that two were cancelled as no-one else had booked them. They found us an excellent private accessible taxi firm and we did have two wonderful enjoyable trips, but they were quite pricey. For anyone whose interests are mainly lying around the pool (which had wheelchair access) or wandering down country lanes to the beach, or who can hire a car to get and see the countryside and eat out in the evenings, then this really is ...
