Eyam Hall

Advantages: Historical feast of beauty
Disadvantages: none

as you walk the corridors. The tour is a little short but is very enjoyable and worth while. Also, Eyam Hall can be hired for holding a beautiful wedding receptions, or even conferences and other forms of meeting, and with its licensed restaurant, which is open all year round, you stay there will be superb. Some outdoor event can be held in the stunning walled gardens, which contain a bowling green and a lawn, apple trees. The gravel paths extends throughout the stunning architectural features and the mixture of trees and colourful blooms, the combination of colours making the garden a special place to wander. And as most old building Eyam Hall has its very own spectre, (allegedly), the ghost is known as Sarah Mills, a young servant girl who drowned in the well, who is said to sometimes answer the door when a visitor rings ...

A THEATRE WITH A VIEW

Advantages: Open air Theatre does not come any better.
Disadvantages: Those hard seats, do not forget the cushions.

/Musicals and have never been disappointed. If staying in St Ives, check OATES TRAVEL on the High Street who will have Bus/Play tickets available. If attending a Matinee Performance do not forget the Sun Block you are very exposed. Evening performances may well need something warm as the Sun goes down. The lower seats do have backs, the higher ones are bench like, but they do hire Cusions, highly recommended, and I think they now even have back rests. The Theatre is open most days for Visitors who just want to view the Wonderful complex. There is a small exhibition giving the Full Story of a Little Girl who came to Cornwall, fell in love with doing plays in the garden and went on to build a Theatre. We have always found the standard of the performers very high, the sound quality is excellent. Imagine you arrive about 6 ...

The Marlowe Theatre

Advantages: Great range of shows, nice layout, good facilities
Disadvantages: None

About The Marlowe Theatre The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury was redeveloped in 2005 and currently it is spread across three floors. Inside, there are two auditoriums, one of which has 1,200 seats and the other one has around 200 seats. Also inside is a bar on each of the three floors, a café and a hospitality suite. Where Is The Theatre Located The Marlowe Theatre is at the lower end of the City centre and is easily accessible whatever you choose at your mode of transport. There are plenty of car parks only a few minutes walk away and there is even a car park behind the theatre. The train and bus stations are also only a 5-7 minute walk away. What Can You Do At The Marlowe Theatre There is a large variety of performances held at the Marlowe Theatre and these include plays, concerts, festivals, musicals, dance shows and of course ...
