While in Hanoi we decided to take a Tour with Singh Tours over two days to Halong Bay.

Famous for its appearance in James Bond movies this was the most beautiful scenery in Vietnam. The trip was organized between our hotel and the Singh Tour operators and cost $15 a person for the two-day trip. A three-day trip was available to see the Cat Ba National Park, which came recommended from people we met, but we did not have time.

On the night spent on the boat we slept under the stars and awoke just before dawn to go swimming in the south china sea. You can take a kayak out to an island if you wish.

If you have a couple of days in Hanoi to spare, spend them on a boat trip around Halong Bay.

    Cost, traveling time, things to do.......? You have to include much much more detail
