A city of many cultures that permits individuals and groups to ‘express’ themselves in their own unique ways. The people there are very liberal and enjoy each others different ideas and cultures. From parks and gardens to the docklands and shopping district, you will all find something appealing here.
One of the most interesting places in the Raperbarn area of the city. It is effectively a street in the heart of the city near to the port with an area 100m either side of the road being filled with theatres, bizzares, museums and the obvious sexually orientated bars and clubs.
Despite the sexual nature of the area even families enjoy a night out in the Raperbarn. They can enjoy the theatres and many bars. The theatres put on a wide variety of shows for every taste. When I was there I actually saw a rendition of shakesphere done in English!
The city is often overlooked by us brits in favour of the likes of Amsterdam. However, for something a little different try Hamburg. Cheap flights are available or you could cruise direct to Hamburg from the port at Harwich on a budget.
