Advantages: The most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Disadvantages: none!
I have stayed at this establishment many times through work and every time it has been a great stay. Prior to arriving many people had described it as 'cheap and cheerful' but on arrival I was pleased with the informative and cheerful reception staff and suprised by the size of the 'minimalist look' rooms. It is also very convenient that a Brewers fayre is adjacent that offers food and drink, have stayed in many hotels where there is nothing near! The beds are more comfortable than words! Better than your bed at home haha. The hotel is also very quiet consiering when I arrived I had booked the last room (quietest place I had ever stayed!) So a good nights sleep is graranteed. Overall a great stay at the Hampton Premier tavel inn! ...
Advantages: Central, friendly, affordable, online Disadvantages: Rather basic in most respects
I was staying at the Shawmutt Inn last week.
It has friendly personnel, clean rooms and a really central location (10 minutes walk to the city centre, T-line station across the street) at affordable rates. The rooms (at least my room) include a basic kitchen with fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker and a small selection of coffees.
It is not incredibly luxurious, my room had tiny windows near the ceiling, but a/c (also on leaving and checking under the bed I found a glue trap for mice....).
The hotel itself is of course in a rather run-down section of the city (nothing to feel afraid off, just a few bars and buildings not painted for a long time).
The included breakfast is basic but nice with fresh Bagels, cornflakes, tea, coffee (on paper cups and plates, plastic cutlery).
Not to forget there is an Internet station to ...
Advantages: Excellent dollar rate, laid back city Disadvantages: Spent too much shopping and did not get to see the famous New England Fall trees!
to get you into Boston.
We did loose our luggage between Washington and Boston – there was a very tight turn around and we had to clear immigration and recheck our bags in for security reasons on our first point of arrival in the States. Luckily l was forward thinking enough to carry my wash bag, hair bag and so on in my hand luggage so there was no big deal and we got our luggage back in time for morning – no real harm done.
We stayed out in Cambridge across the Charles River from Boston City itself – this was very easily accessible from the airport – the T (Boston metro system) took us from the airport changing once directly to the T stop, which happened to be about 2 minutes from the front door of our hotel.
We stated at the Harvard Square Hotel – a doubletree chain – nothing special but it ...
