Advantages: The most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Disadvantages: none!
I have stayed at this establishment many times through work and every time it has been a great stay. Prior to arriving many people had described it as 'cheap and cheerful' but on arrival I was pleased with the informative and cheerful reception staff and suprised by the size of the 'minimalist look' rooms. It is also very convenient that a Brewers fayre is adjacent that offers food and drink, have stayed in many hotels where there is nothing near! The beds are more comfortable than words! Better than your bed at home haha. The hotel is also very quiet consiering when I arrived I had booked the last room (quietest place I had ever stayed!) So a good nights sleep is graranteed. I stayed at the HamptonInn New York from Sunday 20th December 2009 until Wednesday 23rd December 2009. Having never been to the States before i didnt quite no what to expect.
We were based on the 19th floor away from the noisy traffic and we had a fantastic view of the Empire State Building.
In my opinion the room itself was modern, clean and fairly spacious with 2 double beds.
Breakfast included a choice of (coffee, which is available all through the day), tea, doughnuts, toast, bagels etc i would recommend that they set out more hot foods and more tables and chairs for the later diners.
The hotel offers an internet and fitness centre in the basement, we used the internet which we found useful.
The hotel is close to Macys and GAP and we visited the an irish pub for dinner on both nights about 50 yards from the hotel ...

I recently visited London for a couple of days (Monday to Wednesday) and rather than sleeping on a friends sofa decided to try out a website I had seen reviewed on Ciao (priceline.co.uk). After trying the site a couple of times to see the variation in price I booked a 4 star hotel in the Kensington area for £41 (plus taxes etc). When the confirmation came through I was informed that the room I had booked was in the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum (for anyone who has never seen this site before I recommend reading some of the reviews on it, it will save you loads of money.). The only downside to the site is that you don?t know what the hotel is until you have booked it so I was relieved to see that it was part of the Holiday Inn chain and felt confident of having a pleasant stay.
