Advantages: Still maintains a lot of its original character Disadvantages: very busy and chaotic traffic
Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam and is situated in the North of the country.
We did a tour of Vietnam from North to south summer 2007 with a company I found on the internet. www.selectiveasia.com and I dealt with a man called Nick who was extremely helpful all along the decision making and booking process.

Advantages: It's a peaceful city with many beautiful sceneries Disadvantages: there are not so many places for entertaining

It's just the best time of the year.
- Because the Vietnamese celebrate the Lunar New Year (same as China, Korea and Japan) - they call it "Tet" - so it'd be great if you come to Vietnam in ...

Advantages: Cheap, Central location, Friendly staff Disadvantages: Noisy
We Flew into Hanoi from Hong Kong and stayed at this hotel. This an be booked through the Hostelworld website. We got a taxi journey from the airport whch cost us 10USD to the hotel. Our flight arrived in Hanoi just after 9am and the taxi journey was around 40mins and we were allowed to check in upon arrival which is always pleasing.
The hotel -
Upon first impressions the hotel was a pleasent one. The Hotel staff were extremley friendly upon our arrival and spoke excellent english, which was useful as we spoke little Vietnamese.
