...construction in 1422 and in 1429. Documentation of the dedications of the altars (e.g. the choir altar in 1460) in the mid-15th century indicate that the choir was completed around that time. An epitaph in St. Martin's church in Landshut (Germany) definitively shows that Master Hans of Burghausen was the master builder. (An earlier identification as Hans Stethaimer has been disproved.) After Hans of Burghausen's death in 1432, Stefan Krumenhauser is said to have supervised the construction. The tower was built according to a Nuremberg design between 1486 and 1498. I n 1484 the city turned to Rueland Frueauf the Elder for a new high altar. ...Since the Lufthansa flight from Nuremberg to Heathrow has been cancelled half a year ago I had to change to Lufthansa's new partner Eurowings. Eurowings offer three daily flights from Nuremberg to London-Stansted. The flights are usually on time (except for the morning flight from Stansted to Nuremberg!), and the flights are very good! The atmosphere on board is relaxed and friendly. The only disadvantage are the small meals! :-) They are delicious but seem to be made for dwarfs! The strangest thing are the prices though... The "regular fares" are very expensive, but since they have been co-operating with Lufthansa there are also special fares, which are a lot cheaper.... Read review

Advantages: nice atmosphere, clean

...Nuremberg airport in southern Germany is located about an hour and a half north of Munich. It is a small but very nice airport. It is very easy to find your way around inside the airport. The way to the airport is also very easy. It is well signposted and just easy to reach. Because of its small size you do not need to check in hours before your departure. Sometimes it is sufficient if you turn up at the airport just 30 minutes before your flight. (That depends on the airline though.) It has three flights to London-Stansted daily. They are operated by Eurowings (in co-operation with Lufthansa). Even though the airport is relatively small it has everything one might need. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, and it is very clean. The only thing that could be improved are the short stay parking spots right in front... Read review
