for experiencing an exciting and adventurous vacation in the city of Hong Kong. Situated in Wanchai business district with a frontage facing over Victoria Harbour, the Harbour View International House is opposite to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, neighbouring the Arts Centre and the Academy for Performing Arts. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk to central district and Pacific Place where commercial and a shopping centre are close at hand, as well has a quick access to all modes of public transport including Star Ferry and MTR. Harbour View International House offers 320 guest rooms, the majority of which overlook Victoria Harbour, and provides the quality services to meet with international hotel standard. With panoramic view of Victoria Harbour, the restaurant located on first floor, has an elegant and cosy atmosphere opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner with good varieties for both Western and Chinese cuisine. The coffee lounge offers delicious snacks and drinks. Equipped with full range of audio-visual and conference equipments, the hotel's spacious function room is ideal for meetings, conference, seminars, banquets and private gatherings.

...some rooms do have a harbour view, I had gotten the cheapest room available, and so I knew there was a snowball's chance in hell of having one myself. Sure enough, I had a view of an office block. There was literally nothing to look at, except for the mirrored panes of glass. I knew that I would be getting a twin room, as they don't offer singles and for some reason I hadn't been given the choice of a double room. The beds were an OK size for a Westerner, ... ...to pay more if that harbour view room is important to you, but it would be less than a similar view in a more upmarket hotel.
OVERALL:
I really, really enjoyed my stay at the Harbour View International House. The staff were excellent, and the hotel was perfectly fine.
