The 105 guestrooms are furnished in a classical
style. All include sofa beds, direct dial
telephones, coffee makers, hair dryers, trouser
presses, complimentary newspapers and satellite
television.  Guests of the Harcourt Hotel can
spend the evening in the D Two Bar, which also has
a hot serviced buffet and serves bar meals.
Alternatively, guests can choose from an Italian
and international menu in the hotel's restaurant,
or enjoy late night barbecues and alfresco dining
in the beer garden with its water feature. The
hotel also offers babysitting and dry cleaning
services and a limited room service. From the
Harcourt Hotel, guests can easily explore Dublin,
with the Guinness Brewery, St. Patrick's
Cathedral, National Art Gallery and NaturalHistory
Museum all within 2 kilometers. Dublin Airport is
approximately 30 minutes driving time and distance
of 12 kilometers (7 miles).  The type of bedding
in the standard double twin room cannot be
guaranteed especially on Rugby weekends. Guests
need to be aware that there is limited twin
availability.

Two star hotel with one star service

Advantages: Location, decor
Disadvantages: Lights not working, no plugs for sink or bath, grumpy staff, noisy, poor food

I arrived at the hotel at 6.45pm & was impressed with the reception lobby; it must have dated form the early 20th century with period furniture, lighting & the general décor. ...
...especially at this price!!
I was very quickly 'checked in' & asked the lady for directions to my room, she said 'go out the door you came in, turn right, walk down the street, past a shop & look out for two plant pots outside a door, your room is through the door'.
