Hard Rock Cafe Kopenhagen, Copenhagen

I know that the Hard Rock Cafe is not exactly gourmet food, but I have to admit that I do really like it. I much prefer the Hard Rock Cafe chain to the Planet Hollywood chain. We've eaten at the Hard Rock Cafe in Copenhagen many times, and have always really enjoyed it.

The Hard Rock Cafe is located just steps from the Central Train Station at the bottom of the main shopping street. It's situated on the corner of Vesterbrogade and Bernstorffsgade. And it's right next door to Tivoli Gardens. The actual address is Vesterbrogade 3.

The restaurant itself is actually really big, it has a large Hard Rock merchandise store on the Bernstorffsgade side, which sells a large selection of Hard Rock Cafe Copenhagen branded merchandise. Leading on from the shop is the large restaurant portion of the cafe, with loads of tables and cozy booths. Then towards the back is a large bar area where you can just have drinks, or you can sit and eat there if you choose to. There is even a large outdoor seating area on the Vesterbrogade side where you sit and eat or just order drinks if the weather is nice enough. The toilets are located between the restaurant and the bar, and are downstairs.

Like all Hard Rock Cafes it has a collection of Rock Memorabilia adorning the walls.

The menu is the typical Hard Rock cafe menu, with all of the usual Hard Rock cafe favourites, at expensive Danish prices though I must add! I always have a 'mushroom swiss burger' and it's always been cooked perfectly. I do think that the portion sizes here seem smaller than at the Hard Rock Cafes that we've visited in the US, this isn't a bad thing though as it's a more manageable portion. We always share a 'hot fudge brownie sundae' for dessert, and again this is made perfectly. I always ask for it with the chopped walnuts in a separate bowl on the side, and this has never been a problem.

Monday through Friday 5pm til 7pm it's happy hour, with 2 cocktails for the price of one, we always went during happy hour to take advantage of this offer, especially at the Danish prices!

The staff are really friendly and speak perfect English, and are more than happy to help out with menu or drink choices. Each time we've been the restaurant has always been busy but not full, we've never had to wait for a table.The restaurant and tables are clean, and the toilets are always spotless. The service is quick and efficient, and the food has always been good. There's no rushing you out after your meal either, they are happy to let you linger over your drinks.

I'd certainly recommend the Hard Rock Cafe in Copenhagen, we've been around a dozen times, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back
