...going to go to the Hard Rock cafe - there was a method to her madness when she booked the place, she wanted a super cheesy meal, with food that everyone would like and a massive fuss made of her when her birthday cake came out. She just turned 24 you see, and she is having a mid-life crisis and had decided that this was going to be her last "birthday party".
So far so good, Hard Rock cafe seems like a perfect place to have a cheesy birthday party ... ...it. I have been to Hard Rocks in Singapore, Bangkok and Manila and was never really disappointed, it was always good food, slightly over-priced, but the completely over-zealous waiting staff always made up for it!
Ok so the plan for Saturday night - table is booked for 8, hopefully should be able to make swift exit at around 10:30 or 11ish, make our way over to Islington for second birthday party - pretty simple - or....is it?

Location and History.
The Hard Rock Cafe in London is situated at Hyde Park Corner. It was formerly a Rolls Royce dealership. 150 Old Park Lane to be precise.
This is the original Hard Rock Cafe, there are now hard rocks all over the world. I have been in this one and also the one in Dublin. 138 in total. They now also have a hotel chain too.
The are all basically the same with artefacts of rock stars past and present adorning the walls and floors.
... ...by the entrance adorned in Hard Rock paintwork.
Recently the cafe has expanded into the nearby building which now houses the shop where you can purchase memorabilia such as pin badges, glasses and t shirts.
Every visit i have made here has been with my motorcycle chapter, Thames Valley HOG. Travelling with them means we get to park our bikes up on the pavement outside the cafe so we dont have far to walk.

Quite simply one of its best features is you can JUMP the QUEUE, at ANY hard rock in the world. Turn up, go to the front of the queue, show the ... ...extra European info: Go to the Hard Rock in Copenhagen, Denmark. There the staff dance to certain songs on the tables & bar. Probably the only place in the world they do it. No hope for the UK, all that Health & Safety.... they'd run out of cotton wool). ...
