Since finding this one in Manchester I have been to other Hard Rock cafes, and they are all excellent. Overall View:
Wow. I have never been to a restaurant like this before. There are chains of Hard Rock cafes, so you are likely to be able to find one in your nearest large town. Since finding this one in Manchester I have been to other Hard Rock cafes, and they are all excellent. They are all very similar, but Manchesters has won awards for the friendliest staff, and you can see why. (Although do not get me wrong, the staff in their other cafes are also very friendly too!)
As the name suggests, the cafes are all about Rock music, although I would not class it as Hard Rock.
The Interior:
When you walk through the doors you find yourself in an American Dinner style atmosphere. All that is missing are the roller skating waiters and waitresses. On the walls of the cafes are Rock memorabielia. These include signed guitars, Drumkits, photo graphs etc.
Also adorning the walls are large screen televisions which play videos of the music currently playing. The music played varies widely, but is all very easy to listen to, and creates an enjoyable atmosphere to chat and eat your meal.
The restaurant is kept very clean and looks very hygienic (apart from the fact that you can see lots of dust on the memorabilia on the walls and on the wall mounted T.V's)
The area in which the tables for eating are set is raised slightly. There are plenty of tables and plenty of room. On the lower area are also set tables/booths to sit if it is busy and you are waiting for your table, or if you have simply come in for a drink. On the lower area is also the bar and the souvenir shope. Again, these are also very roomy and nice.
If you are awaiting a table you are given a little electronic device which buzes when your table is ready.
The Menu:
The menu has a wide selection of food on it. It is American style food. Although there is a huge selection of food on the menu I myself am a very fusy eater and have only tried two of the main meals. There is also a large dessert menu, but again I tend to also stick to the same dessert too.
The dishes which I have tried are barbeque chicken, beef burger, and as dessert me and my partner always share a chocolate brownie thing. They are all delicious.
The chicken is always very tender, cooked to perfection, with plenty of meat on it. The barbeque sauce tastes gorgeous, and the meal is served with a small pot of barbeque beans which means extra sauce to dip your chips in. The chips are home made (not frozen), but quite thing, yet not quite as thin as french fries, and they have a 'different' taste to them. Unfortunately I can't think how to describe the taste of them, but they are very very nice. Some of the chips still even have bits of the potatoe skin on them, but that makes them taste very nice.
The beefburger is also gorgeous, a nice big juicy burger, again cooked to perfection and very very tastey. This is also served with the same chips as described above.
The chocolate brownie is huge. Me and my partner always get one to share. It is served in a huge glass. The brownie is still warm and is all gouey at the bottem, with lots of vanilla ice cream piled on top. It is meant to come with whipped cream and hazel nuts too, but I don't like either of these, so we request ours without. And there is also a cherry on top too. Mmmmm.... I am making my mouth water just thinking about it!
As well as the food menu, there is also a drinks menu at the front. There are obviously your usual run of the mill drinks, but there is also a large range of cocktails. I have tried a couple of the cocktails myself and would deffinately recommend them (although it is a while since I have been and I only dring cocktails there and so cannot remember the names of them). They have an offer with there cocktails too that if you order particular cocktails you can purchase the glassses in which they are served as souvenirs. I have done this a couple of times. They provide and unused glass in a presentation box too.
Souveniors:
As you walk into the restaurant there is a souvenir shop on your left hand side. Here they sell Hard Rock cafe merchandise. They have various T-shirts, drum sticks, Lanyards, glasses etc. I have never actually bought anything from the gift shop, although I have purchased a couple of there hurricane glasses along with drinks which I have ordered.
Live bands:
There are often live bands on, but unfortunately I have never managed to go at a time when they have been on. I really must look into that and make sure that the next time I go is when there is a band scheduled. We have turned up a couple of times as the band has just been packing away. I think that there is a live band every Friday night?
The Price:
For what the place is the price is actually cheaper than I would expect it to be. The prices are the same as a good restaurant, but a little more pricey than a pub meal or your local cafe, for obvious reasons. Deffinately great value for money though!!!
The atmosphere:
The atmosphere is greatr. From the music playing in the back ground, to the friendly staff. The restaurant has a middle class atmosphere to it, very comfortable, and welcoming. Great for dates, celebrations, family meals or just a treat.
Advantages: Great location and a fun night out Disadvantages: Long queues at weekends
...to stumble across a Hard Rock cafe whilst away. For me Hard Rock cafes were always slightly magical and mysterious places that I intrinsically linked with being on holiday. For me, it always had to be a burger, chocolate milkshake and an ever collectible Hard Rock cafe jumper, tee shirt, cap or whatever else caught my eye and spending money would allow!
Where is it?
Living near to Manchester I was excited when I heard that a new Hard Rock Cafe ... ...an evening out.
The Hard Rock Cafe has a prime location on one side of the Printworks and is accessible from the main road. If you want to have a drink then it is only two minutes walk from Victoria Train station which has great local and national train access and also access to the Metro tram system.
It is quite a nice night out to start off with dinner in the Hard Rock cafe and then go to some of the bars in the Printworks (Norwegian Blue is ...

The atmostphere in the HRC is great - the bar staff are fast and friendly, this is a sfe and lively venue - a great night out. ONE IN TEN have a website oneintenROCK.co.uk or log onto northwestbands.co.uk.

Advantages: Wonderful staff, cheap for students, nice loos, good location. Disadvantages: Occasional problems that can ruin your plans
The Printworks in Manchester is a development just behind the bus station which is home to, among other things, many bars, a HardRockCafe and the Filmworks – Manchester’s very own Multi-Storey Megaplex. The cinema is great and offers everything you could want - all the new releases, a wide range of films, comfortable seats and a Ben and Jerry’s stand..... They have free post cards all the time, though very rarely the posters the Oxford Rd Odeon offers. The staff, sorry “cast members” are efficient and polite and well trained, and the building itself is pretty funky – the loos especially are wonderful and sparkling and full of adverts for up coming films. The backs of the doors also have jokes and stories on so you have something to read while you, ahem, go.
There’s a gallery area which I ...
Advantages: great shops, pubs, clubs and culture! Its got the lot!! Disadvantages: Its not the capital of England...YET!
here yet but i've been told it's very interesting. Not like a regular stuffy art gallery at all.
Well after all that culture and shopping you're going to need to let your hair down a bit and Manchester is certainly the place to do it! There's pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants based on any theme that takes your fancy! Deansgate is one of the best places for bars. Also, there's the printworks...here there's restaurants like The HardRockCafe and also a few bars and upstairs is a huge cinema.
Well, i hope i've tempted you to come and visit Manchester! But seriously, i've yet to find anywhere like it! I'm truly proud of where i live...And no, I don't support Man United and no, my favourite band is not Oasis...and yes i have got carpet in my bathroom...sorry, it's a Northern thing! ...
Advantages: Not far off being as good as London, and it's cheaper Disadvantages: Renovations make it a mess at the moment.
as our own multi food-court ?Voyagers.? Any of these offers the chance of a snack, but eating out at night is highly recommended.
Drinking.
Ahhh yes, Manchester has loads of places to go for drinks. I?ll do a separate op on Manchester drinking soon, but these are the places I?d suggest to you.
The Printworks.
Contains a HardRockCafé and Henry J Beans, great for cocktails, shots or plain old beer.
The Firkin Pubs.
Sadly in decline after their poor renovations, the Firkin pubs offer good priced beer and some crazy nights in the Footage & Firkin.
Down Under.
A late night bar which stays open till 2m, but avoids the club mentality.
Look for more in the Manchester drinking op?..soon.
Entertainment.
Like most major cities Manchester has lots of entertainment of all kinds, for both day and night.
Cinemagoers ...
