Advantages: Nice shops and lovely scenery Disadvantages: It gets really busy on Saturdays
...Exeter is offically a city because of it's cathedral, but is more like a large town. It has two shopping centres: the Guildhall and Harlequins. The latter is possible to miss if you are a visitor, which is a shame because it has some lovely original shops in it. Harlequins is near Sainsbury's and Index. The city has a lovely high street crammed with shops. For those who like the smaller unique shops then I recommend that you check out some of the smaller streets just off the high street, around by the Cathedral, or down by the Quay. The Quay is a lovely place to visit, espeically on a sunny day. You can hire out boats, go Ten Pin bowling, enjoy the food of one of the restaurants or pubs, or simply walk along by the river, enjoying the view. If you want things to do then other than The Pin bowling, there are also 2 cinemas at either ends...

Advantages: Excellent Traditional Family Fun Disadvantages: None
...hat back, that she bestowed some titles on a few of the men.
The Lord-(of the Hood)
This is the title that was given to the man who returned it to her
The Fool
The person who actually caught the hood, but did not have the courage to give it to her.

All were to wear red jackets (nowadays only the Lord and chief boggin, wears a jacket the boggins wear red jumpers. The fool, well he looks a little like a court jester/ harlequin. )
The actual game
After a morning of steady drinking and the traditional hood breakfast. The Lord, Fool and boogins...

...The Ashoka West End is part of the Harlequin group that owns the Ashoka chain, Mr Singh's India, Kama Sutra, Whisky Galore and the Spice of Life (as well as the late lamented Murphy's Pakora Bar). It's located at 1284 Argyle Street near the Art Gallery and reservations can be made by phoning the Harlequin Hotline on 0800 195 3 195. The Harlequin group also runs a hospitality card system which is free to join and will get you a discount on food during the week but normally not at the weekends.
Visitors to other members of the Ashoka chain will know what to expect. There's prompt and polite service, a menu that offers reasonable choice and helpful discriptions without being too daunting in size and the whole venue is clean. This restaurant has two floors and although floor space isn't huge, will seat around 60. There's a pre-theatre menu...
