I wasn't too sure whether I'd like this big screen outing from Comedy Central's "COPS" style spoof. The TV series is a bit hit & miss on the laughter front as the humour derives from the bizarre situations & even more bizarre ways the deputies react to them. However, I wasn't disappointed and spent most of the short running time laughing out loud at the mix of sight gags, slapstick moments & general uselesness of the world's worst police since Commandant Lassard retired from Police Academy.
The simple plot finds the inept officers from Reno's sherrifs dept seemingly invited to a police conference in Miami, only to find out when they arrive at the hotel hosting the convention there is no trace of their booking. I've been meaning to write this op since I got back from Las Vegas in October, but with starting a new job, well things just went by.
I stayed at a great central hotel on the famous strip called Harrah's. You say it like Harrods, but without the ah at the end.
My local travel agent booked us in and we paid something like £50 a night for the room.
Apparently my husbands friend found a great internet site which offered you the rooms for £20 a night. I was naffed off then.
Harrahs is next door to the Imperial Palace and The venetian. Across the road is The Mirage and Caesars Palace.
This is the hotel where Chris Evans and Billie Piper stayed when they recently got married in Vegas last year.

Advantages: The scene with the alligator. Disadvantages: The writing, direction,and acting are dreadful.
When all the other cops in the country are trapped inside the Miami Convention Centre by a biological terrorist attack, it?s left down to a bunch of half-witted cops from Reno, Nevada to save the day. They have to clean up the streets, whilst trying to find the terrorists behind the attack and the antidote to save the other officers. But with no-one to turn to for help and no clue what they?re doing, it looks like they might cause more problems than they solve.
