This time all year is when we start thinking about booking our family holidays, and for many years while my children were small we used to spend our holiday with Haven, as I was a single parent and needed to get the cheapest deal possible, with the entertainment included in the price.
Haven has parks located throughout England, Scotland and Wales. I have stayed at a few of their parks, such as Caister (Norfolk), Seaview (Dorest), littlesea (Dorset). But my favourite has to be Combe Haven (Sussex).
Combe Haven is in historic Hastings, which is as well known seaside resort and has plenty of activities going on throughout the day and night. The staff are all very friendly and the park grounds are kept very clean.
ACCOMMODATION:
They have six different types of caravans here at this park. The only difference really between them is the size and that the super caravan has heating in the bedrooms and bathroom and of cause there is a price difference.
The kitchens are very modern and are fully equipped with cooking utensils, a full size cooker and a fridge. There is a separate shower and toilet. and the water, electric and gas are free. They all have colour TV’s and electric fires in the lounge area. You need to bring your own tea towels and towels. You can bring your own bed linen or hire it if you prefer.
They also have Chalets and villas available, but not that many compared to caravans.
ACTIVITIES:
Heated indoor and outdoor pool, plus fun pools. Indoor fun palace Multi sports drome and roller disco All weather multi sports court and bowling green. 9-hole pitch’n putt Adventure playground Shopping Precinct Amusement arcades Paws, which is a club for 1 to 4 year olds Tiger club for 5 to 11 year olds T-co for 12 to 16 year olds.
All the children clubs are free, which is great and they have things going on all day to keep the children happy and gives mum and dad time on their own.
There are two family club rooms, where things are on during the day and evening. They have live bands appearing, who are always excellent. Cabaret shows and disco, quiz themes and bingo. So what ever you like you are bound to find something that you enjoy. Every week they have a miss combe haven contest and as long as you are over 18 you can enter. They also run darts competition and talent shows for children and the adults. These are great fun and many laughs to be had here.
There is also a pub, which is away from the main area, in case you want a quiet drink away from the hustle and bustle.
I really like this park as it is one of the larger parks and has more to offer, there is often deal to be had by booking at the last minute. They also do weekend breaks and special theme breaks. About five years ago I went to a 60’s weekend, it was brilliant, all the artists were great and every one was singing along, I really can recommend this particular break. The prices are very reasonable indeed and I like it because you are allowed to take your dogs, but they are only permitted in certain ones.
It would take me too long to list prices but if this sounds like your sort of holiday then just check out their web site. www.havenholidays.com Here you can find out all the information you need and see all the latest offers. This really is a great place for a family holiday or short break. I can guarantee the kids will love it and won’t want to come home.
I forgot to mention that outside the park there are other places of interest to visit in Hastings. There is a sea life aquarium, which is only about a 15-minute drive, also the smugglers caves, and of cause the battle abbey and 1066 battlefield. And the beach is about 1 mile from the park.
I love these type of holidays i have been on a few myself. Good op. Toady

The seaview site is approx 30 miles from where I live. I think these parks are brilliant for famalies and some real off peak bargains can sometimes be had. Fiona

Advantages: Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment Disadvantages: Can be pricey if you like the amusements. Lots of energy needed for the hills.
