My partner and I took our children to Presthaven Sands year before last but last year as we had bought a touring caravan we decided not to go back as we wanted to tour for a few weeks instead. Biggest mistake ever our two boys did nothing but moan that there was nothing to do in the evenings and the oldest being 9 at the time wanted to go and explore but I was unwilling for him to do this alone but whe he was at the Haven park the year before he went to tiger club and enjoyed himself so much he wanted to go back. Our younger son was only sixteen months when we went to Haven but he enjoyed himself so much he wanted to go back as soon as we left I think he would have been happy to stay all summer with Rory the Tiger (in case you've never been this is the main character in the childrens entertainment programme which was second to none ). Anyway to cut a long story short we have given in to the demands of the children and we are going to Haven again but this time we are going to Combe Haven we are hoping that it will be just as good for them in this park as it was in PresthavenSands we have also decided that this time we would stay in Rory's Village which are themed caravans that are more in line with what children like they are brightly painted and have special Rory bedding (not that they want to sleep much when they are there). This year there will be myself, my partner, our 10yr old son, 3yr old son and our daughter who will be almost fourteen months when she goes and I hope she enjoys it as much as her older brothers who are already getting really excited about going, so if you decide that you want a family holiday in this country that is going to be full of fun for the kids then this is the place to go and if you do go then have as much fun as we intend to. This section of this opinion was written after going back to a Haven Holiday Park but I wish that I had gone back to Presthaven but I didn't I chose a different park big mistake the park that I chose was Combe Haven in Hastings not realising that this particular holiday park is right next door to a landfill site what a stench and to make things worse when I complained about the place, because if I had known about the landfill site I wouldn't have gone to this park , the customer service at the park was terrible trying to get the person responsible for compaints was impossible until in the end I phoned the customer service helpline and was moved to a different park only to find the caravan that we were in at this park must have been the worst one they had on the park the bed was broken it looked like a blind person had decorated itand it was just downright awful the worst holiday I have ever had. Just to add inult to injury the company that own Haven offered me FORTY POUNDS refund which is what I had paid to upgrade the caravan and a HUNDRED POUND VOUCHER to go to another Haven park in the future as long as I use it within the next 12 months so basically I feel very let down and upset with the way this has been dealt with and also upset that after ruining my holiday and my childrens holiday they offered me what they did I think that they don't really care about their customers as long as they are getting the money for the parks they don't give two hoots about how a ruined holiday makes you feel they obviously don't care about their reputation either because I have told all my family never to go with Haven again. So if you have to go on holiday with Haven then don't go to COMBE HAVEN because it's terrible run by fools and next to a rubbish dump.

Review of Havens holiday parks
Advantages: Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment Disadvantages: Can be pricey if you like the amusements. Lots of energy needed for the hills.
